When Korean singers release a new album or song, they usually release it at 6pm on weekdays.

It's a marketing strategy aimed at time people are getting off work and school but recently Kpop singers including BTS are changing their release times to Friday at 1pm.

According to popular music critic Cha Woo-jin, "the fact that they've changed the announcements to 1pm seems to be for considerations of the U.S market rather than Korean market."

BTS was able to reach the Billboard single chart and BLACKPINK also ranked 13th on Billboard Singles Chart because of this strategy. SuperM also timed their new release to 1pm on Friday.

A pop culture critic Park Hee-ah stated, "Having a comeback stage abroad can have more economic effects and an opportunity for Kpop singers to increase their awareness abroad."
