BTS’s Jin Imitates Iconic Scene From ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’ And Ends Up On Freddie Mercury’s Official Twitter

BTS successfully completed the first day of their concert in London on June 1, 2019. ARMYs loved every second they spent with the members at the Wembley Stadium, but one particular moment ended up on Freddie Mercury’s official Twitter account.

Jin decided to not only show off his new purple hair in the first day of their two sold-out nights in Wembley Stadium but also to make an impression by paying tribute to one of the UK’s top performers, Freddie Mercury, the late frontman from the legendary band Queen.

The iconic moment, recreated by Worldwide Handsome Jin, was too cool to go unnoticed. His imitation ended up being tweeted by Freddie Mercury’s official Twitter account!

Jin hyped up the audience by asking, “Hey ARMY, are you having fun tonight?” The crowd went wild for the BTS star. The 26-year-old singer-songwriter praised London for being “home of great musicians.” He also shared with the fans that he recently watched “Bohemian Rhapsody,” the biographical movie about the life of Freddie Mercury and Queen.

“I can’t help following this scene!” Jin said. The BTS singer then went on to imitate Mercury’s famous call and response segment where Mercury’s vocalizations were copied by the crowd. He shouted, “Eeee-o” and ARMYs knew immediately to repeat after him.

Overwhelmed by the fans who energetically supported his effort, Jin said: “You’re so lovely, Army. I love you so much, Army!” The moment, captured on video, made it to a post on Freddie Mercury’s official Twitter account. “Great to see the legacy lives on,” the post read.

Fans also reacted positively to the tribute with one commenting that “We will always have Freddie. He is not forgotten, a true inspiration for new generations of artists from all over the world. #Jin honored Freddie in that iconic way.”

Meanwhile, Jin pulled off this brand new hairstyle like a complete rockstar. With this purple haired look, fans are now nicknaming him Grape Jelly Jin, Tinky-Winky Jin, and everything else purple they can think of – but he is, nonetheless, still the one and only Worldwide Handsome.

Jin and the rest of BTS had the time of their lives in London. The sold-out show had over 60,000 ARMYs gathered together to see BTS live. BTS will be heading to France and Japan next to finish off the extended stadium leg of its Speak Yourself world tour, which began with dates in the US followed by Brazil.
