BTS member Kim Taehyung, more popularly known as V, has the 2nd best-selling song in the US right now, losing only to The Weeknd's Blinding Lights on Billboard's Digital Song Sales chart.

According to Forbes, V's song entitled 'Sweet Night' has sold over 11,000 copies already. Although he did not get number 1, V is still off to an impressive start, getting a higher rank over big-name stars such as OneRepublic and country music star Luke Bryan.

The song is part of the soundtrack of the Korean drama Itaewon Class. Soompi has confirmed V's participation in the soundtrack for the drama as early as March 6. The drama stars South Korean superstar Park Seo Joon, idol Kwon Nara from Hello Venus, and newcomer Kim Dami. The drama became a hit in the country and even with international fans, as it is shown through Netflix.

Fans of the singer and actor know of the two's tight bond. They became friends after filming their drama Hwarang and have even spent vacations together, along with other friends Choi Woo Shik and Peakboy.

Although this is not V's first foray into singing a soundtrack (he also sang It's Definitely You together with co-member Jin for the drama Hwarang), this is the first soundtrack that he produced himself. This new offering from V follows the success of fellow BTS member J-Hope. J-Hope's song 'Chicken Noodle Soup' also made it to the Digital Song Sales chart, ranking number 9.

His group BTS has is not new to getting the number one place in the charts. They have three songs that have taken the top spot, namely "On," "Idol," and "Fake Love."

Meanwhile, fans of BTS would be glad to know that their latest release, "Map of the Soul:7," is still doing great at the charts. As of today, it is still the second-best-selling album, only beaten by Nial Horan's album Heartbreak Weather.

But, fans might still have to wait for a while before they can see their favorite boyband. Given the situation of the coronavirus spread, their planned tour may have to be postponed.

"We are closely monitoring the situations in the countries and cities that are part of our upcoming tour... As a result of the current global circumstances, we anticipate having to make changes to the current tour schedule," Big Hit stated.

Their tour in South Korea was supposed to begin on April 11, but they have canceled it already.
